Just a reminder . . . our morning meetings are now scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month unless a social or other Sertoma event takes the place of a morning meeting.
Our speaker on April 9 will be Paul Smith who is a teacher at Southeast High School. He will be talking about a program that he utilizes in his classroom called the Freedom Writers. This curriculum is based on a program created by the Freedom Writers’ Foundation and a best selling book originally published in 1998 that was the basis for the movie “The Freedom Writers” released in 2007 and staring Hillary Swank. The premise of the program is how to successfully reach high-risk students in the classroom.
This should be very interesting so you won’t want to miss it. We hope to see you there!
At our next meeting at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, March 26, our Club will present our annual ‘Service to Mankind’ presentation at Selleck hall. This is a very worthy cause, and we want to encourage everyone to attend.

Anxiety is the body’s natural response to danger. Anxiety disorder responses include fear or worry, physical threat such as a heart attack, social threat by being embarrassed in public and a mental threat thinking you are losing your mind.
